Diversity For Managers And Team Leaders – 3-Hour Training

Diversity allows groups, associations, and businesses to leverage the broadest array of talent, skills, and ability for their betterment. Team leaders and managers need a special skill set to lead in a diversity-friendly manner. This is akin to leading an ensemble. This program is designed specifically for team leaders and managers who want to create a diversity-friendly work environment.

Through a combination of lectures and interactive engagement tools, participants will learn the fundamentals of diversity. (Sample timed-agenda available upon request.)

The training does not require any prior knowledge and uses proven, effective methods of instruction.

Topics include:

  • Being comfortable with the discomfort of thinking about diversity
  • Why leadership often fails in diversity efforts and how to reverse this
  • Identity-related statuses and demographic data
  • Resources for further education about diversity

Participants will gain the following skills:

  • Deploying different communication styles to enhance diversity
  • Creating practices to foster diversity
  • Identifying allies
  • Managing emotions and increasing resiliency when confronting diversity-related issues
  • Working through impasse and reaching agreement

Space is limited to 25 participants per session
