“Antiracism” is a term that is frequently used in diversity-related conversations. It is quite popular for a group, organization, or association to announce that it is “antiracist.” Yet, few organizations or associations train their leaders and employees on what this means and fewer still discuss how this category is a commitment to something beyond avoiding acts of race discrimination. Effective use of race equity principles strengthens organizations and limits their exposure to claims of discrimination (including claims of reverse discrimination). This program is designed to help organizations apply a race-conscious lens effectively, productively, and legally.
This program will provide a review of the literature about race equity and antiracism. It is updated to reflect the latest evidence-based information available. It is also designed to align with the legal mandates that govern employers, employees, contractors, and affiliates.
