Richard Roberts Panelist at Forum on Connecticut’s Property Tax Relief Programs

Halloran & Sage Attorney Richard Roberts will be a featured panelist at a forum entitled Assessing Connecticut’s Property Tax Relief Programs for Older Adults and Persons with Disabilities, co-sponsored by The Connecticut Coalition on Aging, Inc and the Connecticut Commission on Aging.  The forum is presented annually by the coalition to explore issues and share ideas on topics affecting Connecticut’s older adults.

The forum is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20, 2008, from 9:00 – noon at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford, CT. The forum will give representatives of local government, assessors, and people who design and administer tax relief programs an opportunity to share ideas and experiences.  The keynote speaker will be Dennis Heffley, PhD professor and department head of the University of Connecticut’s Department of Economics.

The Connecticut Commission on Aging, an independent agency of the Connecticut General Assembly, is co-sponsoring this year’s forum in connection with its ongoing work to monitor issues, such as financial stability, that affect older adults of today and tomorrow.

The Connecticut Coalition on Aging, Inc. is dedicated to improving the quality of life for older adults, especially those most vulnerable, through study, education, communication and advocacy.
