The Connecticut Bar Association (“CBA”) will hold their first Connecticut Legal Conference Monday, June 16th, 2014 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. The full day conference will feature an expanded schedule, luncheon and exhibitors. Halloran & Sage will be contributors in two of the CLE seminars that will be offered within the Real Property/Planning and Zoning/Environmental Track. Ann Catino will be a speaker in the panel session titled, Who’s Afraid of Contaminated Property? Environmental Assessment, Appraisal and Valuation, and Brownfields Opportunities in Connecticut, on behalf of the Environmental Law Section. This program will provide information about site assessment tools to evaluate conditions, appraisal and valuation practices, and choices to quantify the result of contamination on value, treatment of contaminated property for tax purposes, and developing prospects under Connecticut’s brownfields initiatives and ongoing remediation transformation process. Richard Roberts will be a speaker in the following session, Recent Zoning and Wetland Case Law Update, as a part of the Planning and Zoning Session. This program will provide you with an update on recent zoning and wetland caselaw followed by a Q & A Session.
