Halloran Sage is pleased to host ALFA International’s first Business Litigation Regional Seminar in Hartford next week. Seventeen business leaders and attorneys from across the East coast will be attending. The program, entitled “When Companies Collide: Lessons and Discussions About Competitor Disputes,” will include three segments: “Avoiding Hard Lessons from the Hard IP – Being Alert to Patent and Trade Secret Concerns;” “Deceptive Marks and Stolen Business: When Do Competitors’ Practice Go Beyond the Pale?;” and “Attorney Client Privilege and Ethics: What to do in the Face of Claims Involving Your Company.” Presenters will include partners Joseph Fortner and Jennifer Pedevillano from Halloran Sage, and ALFA International affiliated attorneys Scott Simpson from the Sills Cummis & Gross in New York, Dennis Rothman of Lester Schwab Katz & Dwyer and John Newcomer, Jr. of Morris James in Delaware. Stacey Constas of Standex International is also a panelist.
The conference will also include tours of Hartford’s signature gems, the Wadsworth Atheneum and the Mark Twain House.
