Chambers USA 2020 Recognizes Halloran Sage

The Firm is pleased to announce that Chambers USA has once again recognized Halloran Sage’s practice areas and individual attorneys within its 2020 edition. An international publisher of legal profession guides, Chambers is esteemed worldwide for its detailed research and review process. Law firms and individual lawyers are ranked and assessed on the quality of technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by the client.

Halloran Sage’s Environmental and Real Estate practice groups were ranked.

According to Chambers, the Environmental team’s areas of excellence include matters related to brownfields redevelopment and insurance defense, and it is exceptional in litigation involving environmental contamination and cleanup. A client praises the team’s “entrepreneurial attitude,” explaining: “As a result, they bring insights and feedback to discussions that are highly valuable in determining strategy.”

Chambers also noted that the Real Estate team is experienced in handling all aspects of major real estate developments, and offers notable skill in financing and leasing. “The team as a whole appears to be strong,” a source reported. Another impressed client said, “The firm is, in my opinion, a cut above the rest.”

Partners ranked within Chambers are as follows:

Henry Beck was ranked in the Corporate M&A field. Henry is experienced in both domestic and international corporate matters and advises clients on transactions and governance. An impressed client commented, “He is very detail-oriented, knows the subject matter very well and is also very good in financing.” Another source reports: “He has a wonderful national network and an outstanding legal and business mind.”

Ann Catino was ranked in the Environment category. She advises on disputes involving contaminated properties, defends against administrative proceedings and handles a range of transactional and permitting mandates on behalf of a broad client base. A client said: “She has a very sophisticated approach to things and is a terrific negotiator. She provides pragmatic advice and is very well respected by regulators in Connecticut.”

James Maher was ranked in Chambers’ Real Estate category. He draws on substantial experience across the commercial real estate landscape, frequently advising on leasing and development transactions, as well as handling financing and restructuring mandates.

Arnold Menchel was ranked in the Healthcare field. According to Chambers, he is praised for being “open and communicative” and for his ability to “give detailed responses to more complex questions.” His practice spans a range of matters, including reimbursement, HIPAA compliance and administrative law proceedings, and attracts an impressive roster of regional hospitals.

Chambers employs a team of 170 full-time editors and researchers to conduct interviews, identify, and rank the world’s best lawyers who exceed client expectations by delivering the highest level of technical legal ability, service, diligence, and value.
