Halloran & Sage Attains Positive Ruling in Probate Theft and Fraud Case

Halloran & Sage was retained by a probate court judge in a high profile litigation case to investigate claims that an elderly and infirm woman’s attorney-in-fact had misappropriated significant sums of monies from her. Tom showed that the attorney-in-fact had committed theft and fraud, and the attorney-in-fact was brought to justice in Connecticut criminal court.

Condo Association Successfully Defended Against Multi-Million Dollar Discrimination Claim

Halloran & Sage successfully defended directors and officers of a condominium association from a plaintiff claiming millions of dollars from alleged race discrimination. The U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, granted the motion for summary judgment, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals recently affirmed the District Court’s granting of the motion.

Favorable Settlement Reached Against Multi-Million Dollar Malpractice Claim

Halloran & Sage secured a favorable settlement on behalf of a retail pharmacy charged with a multi-million dollar malpractice claim, arguing that the plaintiff could not establish general and specific causation under State v. Porter , 241 Conn. 57 (1997) and Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals, Inc. , 509 U.S. 570 (1993).

Thomas Boyce Jr. and Jennifer Mullen obtained a defense verdict for a family practice physician and his physician’s assistant after a two week trial in Middletown Superior court. The plaintiff alleged that the healthcare providers had failed to timely diagnose an impending heart attack.
