Joseph Fortner served as counsel to a local Connecticut Bank in a trademark and unfair competition action against another bank which infringed on our client’s registered mark by adopting an identical name. The action included issues relating to regulatory involvement in names, national scope of rights, and co-existence. The case was originally filed in the District of Maryland, but upon transfer to Connecticut, we were sole counsel for Plaintiff.
The case was settled positively for the plaintiff last spring.
