An Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities’ daily rate was reduced dramatically as the result of an audit. The facility attempted to appeal the audit and the concomitant rate reduction and was told that they had missed their time limit and were not entitled to a hearing. Arnold drafted a complaint to file in court and sent it to the agency’s in house counsel. The agency reversed its position, and the underlying audit was able to be settled. The Client saved a significant amount of money.
