The grandson of Halloran Sage Administrative Assistant Candace Goodreau was the recipient of the Ryan Doyle Courage Award, named in honor of a former baseball great from Western Massachusetts. Jake Goodreau was a baseball standout at Southwick High School. He graduated high school in 2015 and went on to play Division 1 baseball at Boston College. During his sophomore year at BC, however, he unfortunately came up against an unforeseeable challenge as he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Jake faced the challenge with tremendous courage and is now cancer free.
