Halloran Sage is pleased to announce that attorneys Howard Pierce and Stephanie Gitlin, formerly of Pierce LLC, have joined the firm. Pierce and Gitlin offer a unique practice, focusing on matters involving health care cost containment, False Claims Act & whistleblower cases, commercial litigation, and independent internal investigations. Their addition will broaden and strengthen Halloran Sage’s Health Care and Litigation Practice Groups.
In their Health Care Cost Containment practice, Pierce and Gitlin represent the interests of health care payers, property/casualty insurers, and self-funded plans focusing on fraud detection, prevention, and overpayment recovery. To date, they have recovered over $4.4 million on behalf of the United States Government and State Governments and over $245 million for over two dozen commercial group health care and property casualty payers and Taft-Hartley Benefit Funds arising from abusive healthcare claim practices.
In litigation matters, Pierce and Gitlin handle commercial disputes, contract disputes, and business torts. In their False Claims Act & Whistleblower practice, they represent whistleblowers across the nation who choose to come forward with evidence of their employers or others trying to defraud the government. When necessary, they have assisted clients with internal investigations into allegations of fraud or wrongdoing and have helped them successfully navigate the intricacies of a government investigation.
