Michael Zizka is holding a seminar, “The Science and Regulation of Wetlands in CT” for UConn CLEAR’s Land Use Academy this Saturday, May 17, 2025. The in-person training at UConn’s Middlesex County Extension Center in Haddam, CT will explore both the science of wetlands and the regulation of development related to wetlands in CT. Together with Josh Wilson, Senior Ecologist at Biohabitats and Chair of the East Hampton Inland Wetlands Watercourse Agency, Mike will cover the dos and don’ts and ins and outs of local wetland regulation.
This training is for inland wetland commissioners or any other land use commissioners interested in learning more about wetlands and efforts to protect them during the development process.
UConn CLEAR is a partnership of the Departments of Extension and Natural Resources in the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources and the CT Sea Grant Program.
This training may be eligible for three (3.0) commissioner training hours as per CGS Sec. 8-4c and a virtual option will be available.
