Kenneth Slater will be a featured speaker at the Municipal Stormwater Conference hosted by the Connecticut Council of Small Towns (COST).
The presentation will focus on how to comply with the revised stormwater permit soon to be required by towns—the State Department of Energy & Environmental Protection’s MS4 General Permit. The discussion includes:
Requirement changes and how to comply;
New Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination requirements;
New monitoring, screening, sampling and mapping requirements;
Public education and outreach materials;
Low Impact Development and other requirements in local ordinances; and
How other organizations are assisting municipalities in complying with the new requirements.
The conference will be held Wednesday, October 19, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville. Online registration is available here.
