Joseph Fortner was recently appointed Chair of ALFA International’s Business Litigation Practice Group, and will serve in that role for the next two years. ALFA is a global network of 150 independent law firms from across the United States and around the world. Through their practice groups, ALFA’s member attorneys leverage their collective expertise to provide clients with high-quality, cost-efficient legal services worldwide.
Joseph recently also served as Chair of the ALFA Business Litigation Practice Group’s 2017 Seminar, “Successfully Trekking along the Precipice: Protecting Your Company Before, During, and After ‘Bet the Company’ Litigation.” With a panel of twenty national and international speakers and a mock jury presentation, Joseph developed a program which used a hypothetical fact pattern to examine how companies can best position themselves when faced with potentially existential litigation.
