Joseph Fortner has served for the last two years as Chair of the ALFA International Business Litigation Practice Group. He recently brought Casey O’Connell in as a participant for the Group’s Chicago conference, “Building an Optimal Dispute Resolution from the Ground Up.”

Casey served as a panelist among other experienced transactional attorneys as well as business litigators for the seminar, “Drawing Up the Plans – Preparing for Disputes Before They Arise.” They discussed often litigated contractual provisions, including indemnification clauses, seller representations and warranties, as well as provisions that can be negotiated to shape future litigation that might occur, including venue, choice of law and arbitration clauses.
