Six years ago, attorney Joe Fortner became involved in a small church in Wilmington, Vermont. As the Holiday Season approached, he was surprised to discover that notwithstanding the green pines and white steeples, there was no carol sing during the Holiday Season. So, he decided to fill that void with what has become an annual tradition in Wilmington. As part of the church’s Red Door Concert series, Joe organizes and performs in a Community Carol Sing, in which numerous musicians from the community share their talents and lead the audience in traditional carols. Each concert raises money for local charities and organizations. The Carol Sing has grown each year, and when it was last done live in 2019, the church was packed. This year, a cast of over 20, joined by an elf, Santa Claus, and Saint Nicholas, celebrated the season together. For more information about the concert series, visit their website.
