Hon. Angela Robinson (RET.) is delivering the keynote address and receiving the Cloke-Millen Peacemaker Award at the 2022 Conference of the Southern California Mediation Association (SCMA). The Conference presents the Cloke-Millen Peacemaker Award each year to one individual or organization in the dispute resolution community who inspires others through their passion and dedication to peacemaking.
Angela’s keynote is titled, “I Listen to What You Say, But I Hear What You Mean: The Incongruity in the Mediation Profession’s Lack of Diversity.” Through her address, she will argue that mediation professionals must urgently and conscientiously realign their idealistic words espousing support for DEI with actual and meaningful efforts that result in transformation and change.
Angela recently launched a new service at the law firm of Halloran Sage, providing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Trainings within the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group.
