Halloran Sage attorneys had key roles in several statewide organizations’ legislative and municipal presentations this past week.
The Workshop for Municipal Officials was held by the Council of Small Towns (COST) at the State Capitol. Managing Partner Kenneth Slater and Partner Richard Roberts presented on “The Roles & Powers of Municipal CEOs and Common Governance Challenges” to newly elected and returning municipal officials from Connecticut. Ken, Rich, and several Halloran Sage attorneys frequently hold workshops on municipal and state government related matters.
Partner James Perito moderated the panel for the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce (GNHCC) 2024 Regional Legislative Forum Breakfast at Southern Connecticut State University. Over 16 state legislators attended and had a chance to discuss “Investing in Greater New Haven, Powering Connecticut’s Economic Growth” and associated topics such as strengthening the workforce, supporting businesses, housing supply issues, education inequities, and transportation investments. James holds a Chair position on the GNHCC Government Affairs Committee and has been active in the New Haven community for many years.
