H & S Expands its Construction Law Practice with the Addition of Attorney and Former DOT Civil Engineer, William S. Wilson,II

William Wilson, II has joined the law firm of Halloran & Sage as Counsel in the Hartford office where he will chair the Construction & Surety Practice Group. William has practiced in the areas of construction and surety law for seven years and successfully represented clients in state and federal courts as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums such as mediation and arbitration. By leveraging his expansive relationships with other construction attorneys, architects, engineers, claim consultants, accountants, local, state and federal government employees, and surety personnel, he works to deliver efficient solutions on behalf of clients in even the most complex construction matters.

William’s prior experience includes working with the Connecticut Department of Transportation as a Civil Engineer for eight years. During this time he gained diverse experience in researching and organizing technical information, analyzing complex design problems and communicating solutions for the design and construction of small and large infrastructure improvement projects, including multi-million dollar projects such as the Charter Oak Bridge replacement, and I-84 fly-over ramp in Hartford. William’s technical background both in design office and in the field allows for a quick understanding of construction issues resulting in a cost effective solution for his clients.

As an advocate of giving back to the community, William has become involved in Make A Difference, a charity dedicated to improving the infrastructure of impoverished communities worldwide and has served on its board of directors since 2002.

William is a member of the Connecticut bar, the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut bar as well as a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Construction Law Section Executive Committee, New Haven Bar Association, and the Connecticut Building Congress, Inc., Industry Practices Committee. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire in 1988 and earned his J.D. in 1996 from Western New England College School of Law.
