Halloran Sage is honored to represent hundreds of businesses across the region, of all sizes and industries, and we are pleased to congratulate clients Salamander Designs and Shelco Filters on their recognition from the Hartford Business Journal’s Family Business Awards this year.
Salamander Designs was named the winner of the Full Time Employees 25-75 category. The Carrabba family have been innovating in the custom AV furniture industry for over 25 years. In 1992, Salamander Designs was founded with a mission to create furniture of good quality that could be configured to meet current needs, but flexible enough to accommodate an entertainment system as it changed over time. Over the course of the business’ history, Salamander has continuously adapted to changing trends and technology. New products are introduced every few years and most furniture is built in Connecticut at their Bloomfield facility.
Shelco Filters won the Lifetime Achievement Award, with Robert LeConche Jr. and Debra LeConche Pandolfe, President and Vice President, sharing the honor as a brother sister duo. Under Robert and Debra’s leadership for nearly 30 years, the Middletown-based company has grown into an international manufacturer of filtration equipment. Rob and Debra are 2nd generation family business owners; their father, Robert LeConche, founded the company in 1971. Shelco products are distributed and used across the globe in a wide range of commercial and industrial applications, including foods, beverages, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, petrochemicals, fuels, and cosmetics.
