Catino Presenting at Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast Event

Attorney Ann Catino will present next week at the flagship annual event of the Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast (BCONE). The event, the Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop (NSCW), takes a regional, cross-industry approach to redevelopment and serves as a networking and educational forum for environmental and brownfields professionals. This year’s theme is “A New Era for Equitable Development.”

Presentations will take place over two days on September 13th and 14th in Stamford, Connecticut. Ann’s session, “Evolution of the Brownfield Program in CT,” will provide an overview of the state’s brownfield redevelopment program and its impact on about 75 municipalities through 250 projects.

Ann provides legal advice to businesses from a wide range of industries in every type of environmental law matter, and routinely negotiates the nuances for compliance with the Transfer Act and brownfield and contaminated property redevelopment. She serves as Co-Chair of the State’s Brownfield Working Group, a role she has occupied since 2006.  She is presently a member of the DEEP’s Release Based Working Group, which has been charged by the legislature to assist DEEP as it charts a new path for Connecticut’s cleanup program.
