Attorneys Necci, Catino, Robinson & Krisch to Present at CBA Conference

Attorneys Matthew Necci, Ann Catino, and Hon. Angela Robinson will each present and attorney Daniel Krisch will moderate during the Connecticut Bar Association’s upcoming Connecticut Legal Conference from Tuesday, June 15th through Thursday, June 17th.

Matt will speak during the “Preparation for a Formal Hearing” session on June 15th at 10 a.m. as part of the Workplace Track. The program will focus on pre-formal and formal hearings in the Workers’ Compensation Commission, offering tips and strategies and reviewing how best to prepare a physician for a formal hearing. The session is geared toward Workers’ Compensation practitioners.

Ann will speak during “The End of the Transfer Act: Is It Too Good to be True?” session on June 15th at 2 p.m. within the Real Property/Environmental Law Track. The session will include a discussion of the status of the Transfer Act, what it covers, and the current exemptions. Recent changes to environmental regulations relating to clean-ups in Connecticut, as well as the recently passed P.A. 20-09 sunsetting the Transfer Act upon the adoption of new Release Based Program regulations will also be reviewed. The panelists will discuss practical ways of handling real estate and business transactions during this transition time. Anyone who practices any area of commercial real estate law, business transactions, or has an interest in the Transfer Act or the new release-based regulations should attend.

Angela will speak during the “Diversity and Inclusion: Learning the Nuts and Bolts” session on June 17th at 2 p.m. during the Diversity and Inclusion Track. The session is geared toward small and midsize firms, though will benefit large firms as well, and will address the following:

Any attorney wishing to learn more about how to diversity and make their practice more inclusive should attend.

Dan will moderate the final plenary address on June 17th at 5 p.m. He will introduce the speaker, Neal Katyal, who will give a talk entitled, “Reflections on the Supreme Court.” Neal has argued 44 cases before the US Supreme Court and will discuss the current term and how decisions will continue to make news on a variety of issues. Dan will moderate the Q&A after his address.
