Ann Catino recently presented testimony before the Commerce Committee relating to brownfield redevelopment and in support of brownfield legislation proposed by the Committee. Ann has been co-chairing the legislatively-created Brownfield Working Group for 12 years, and has led various changes in the law and funding programs so that brownfield redevelopment can occur more efficiently and with less risk and exposure to the developer. To date, approximately 70 municipalities have benefited from the program, and over 170 projects have been funded. Furthermore, for every dollar invested by the State, approximately $12 of private sector funding is leveraged. Ann appears at 2:02:50 in Connecticut Network’s recording of the public hearing. Her written testimony can be found here.
