Ann Catino, Chair of the Environmental & Land Use Group, was a presenter at a recent Community Redevelopment Workshop: A Brighter Future for Connecticut’s Brownfields, sponsored by The Last Green Valley (‘TLGV’). The seminar covered recently funded grants and loans focused on community revitalization efforts related to local brownfields, updated information on cleanup regulations and legislation targeted to reduce liability for municipalities making an effort to restore these sites. Ann is Co-Chair of the Connecticut State Assembly’s Brownfield Working Group and spoke with Tim Sullivan: Connecticut Director of Waterfront, Brownfield, and Transit-Oriented Development; Graham Stevens: Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Brownfields Coordinator and; Jana Roberson, AICP: Land Use Administrator for the Town of Brooklyn and Vice President of Willimantic Whitewater Partnership.
