Ann Catino, Chair of the Halloran & Sage Environmental and Land Use Practice Group has been appointed to the Face of Connecticut Steering Committee, which was established pursuant to PA 08-174. The Steering Committee will review and approve the expenditure of funds for the acquisition, restoration and stewardship of certain designated properties including the conservation of open space land, the renovation and enhancement of urban parks, the preservation of active agricultural land and restoration and reuse of historic resources.
While allowing for growth and economic development, the Committee will also identify the State’s threatened natural and historic landmarks and coordinate a plan for their preservation. The Committee will prioritize funding and seek support in a single, annual funding request.
