Allen Gary Palmer Assists CBA FLS Launch Innovative CLE Workshops

Allen Gary Palmer has been assisting the Connecticut Bar Association, Family Law Section in the launch of an innovative series of continuing legal education programs designed to offer section members timely information on key Connecticut Supreme Court legal decisions.  The new program, Case Flash, is a video program presented in an engaging, easy to follow talk show format. The concept is to bring short, timely CLE programs directly to each member's computer.

The following are the most recent programs offered by the CBA:

Berzins v. Berzins

Case Flash

The fourth installment of Case Flash examines the Supreme Court's decision in Berzins v. Berzins, 306 Conn. 651 (2012), "egregious litigation misconduct" and counsel fee awards in family cases.Program duration: under 13 minutes.    

 Khan v. HillyerCase Flash The third installment of Case Flash examines the Supreme Court's decision in Khan v. Hillyer, 306 Conn. 205 (2012), and the final judgment rule in family cases.Program duration: under 12 minutes.      

Woodbury Knoll, LLC v. Shipman and Goodwin, LLPCase Flash The second installment of Case Flash will review Woodbury Knoll, LLC v. Shipman & Goodwin, LLP, 305 Conn. 750 (2012), a complex decision on whether a nonparty can immediately appeal a discovery order.Program duration: under 19 minutes.      

Tomlinson v. TomlinsonCase Flash The first installment of Case Flash will review the key elements of Tomlinson v. Tomlinson, 305 Conn. 539 (2012).Program duration: under 23minutes. .
