(Now Retired) Halloran Sage Attorney Joe Fortner and Jennifer Pedevillano recently represented Halloran Sage at the ALFA International International Client Seminar (ICS).
Both had significant roles in the event. Joe was the Seminar Chair and coordinated the details for the program entitled, Listen to the Music! Performing Harmoniously in a Challenging Soundscape. Introducing the program in the program brochure he explains “The creation, development, growth and management of a business, the practice of counselling clients and the representation of clients… require listening, creativity, innovations, adaptation, respond to changes, improvisation and ‘performance,’ sometimes as a ‘soloist,’ sometimes as an ensemble, sometimes in a ‘jam session’ and sometimes relying upon others’ compositions… we will explore multiple approaches to how our businesses and our law firms make ‘music’.”
Attorney Jennifer Pedevillano Co-Moderated the session All the Small Things’ That Make or Break a Contract or Settlement which discussed tips to avoid overlooking important provisions while drafting and negotiating contracts and critical settlement terms at the end of a case.
She also is a member of the ALFA Women’s Initiative and attended the reception hosted by the section benefitting Casa de los Ninos, an organization that supports the needs of local Southern Arizona women and children. She also participated in a desert Jeep tour through the Tortolita Mountains and had an up close and personal encounter with desert critters!
