“I try to bring the benefit of my cumulative experience to the counsel I provide my clients.”

Richard Healey’s practice includes commercial real estate development and finance, bond financing transactions, business law contracts, professional compliance, and municipal and administrative law. Rick served as the Legal Counsel to the Council on Probate Judicial Conduct from 2019-2023. He understands and appreciates the trust and responsibility placed in him by clients and seeks to reflect that in all the work he does for them.

Rick has earned an AV Peer Rating Review from the peer-reviewed legal directory, Martindale-Hubbell. He is a past member of the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and taught Real Property Law as an elective course in the MBA Program of the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford from 2002-2008.

Throughout his life, Rick has sought to balance his legal practice with his family responsibilities and a commitment to serving the community. He serves as a representative of the City of New Britain on the Mattabassett District Commission, as a member of the Advisory Board of the Holy Family Retreat Center, and as a Legal Advisor for the Petit Family Foundation. Over the years, he also twice served as Chairman of the Saint Maurice Church Parish Council (twice) as well as a trustee of the Parish. Rick lives in New Britain with his wife and former law school classmate, Mary (Joy) Healey.
