Michael Schneider’s legal practice is broad. He focuses on transactional matters and serves as outside General Counsel to family-owned and middle-market manufacturers and other businesses. His transactional experience includes mergers and acquisitions, representing both borrowers and lenders in secured financing transactions, as well as handling commercial and industrial real estate matters and land use permitting.

As outside General Counsel to family-owned businesses, Mike provides comprehensive legal and strategic advice, guiding clients through daily operational challenges such as vendor relations, terms and conditions, employment issues, contracts, and corporate governance. He also counsels on long-term planning, strategic acquisitions, risk management, and liquidity events to ensure legal strategies align with business owners’ goals.

Earlier in his career, Mike gained hands-on experience in railroad operations while working with family-owned short-line railroads, giving him a unique perspective on regulatory and logistical issues.

Raised in Western Massachusetts and based in Springfield, Michael is deeply committed to serving his community. He is a past member of the Longmeadow Conservation Commission and board member of Springfield educational charities such as the Community Music School of Springfield, Inc.
