Luretha McClendon Tolson is a skilled litigator with a broad practice spanning Civil Litigation, Insurance Defense and Trucking. She brings a distinctive perspective shaped by more than 5 years working in-house for two national insurance companies, combined with nearly a decade at a respected Connecticut plaintiff’s firm. She anticipates the priorities of all parties and advocates effectively and strategically for her clients.
Luretha is known for resolving disputes creatively, efficiently, and cost-effectively. A confident communicator, she presents her arguments with clarity and conviction. Her practice includes all phases of litigation, including written and expert discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, negotiations, and trials. Outside of her legal work, Luretha is committed to community service. She is an active member of the New Haven Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the New Haven Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She serves as the Vice President of the Girls Basketball League of the Hamden Father’s Basketball Association, has volunteered with the NAACP and previously served on the board of the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association as a young lawyer.
