Attached is the full memo of the Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Commission’s current policy with respect to workers’ compensation claims management in the context of Connecticut’s response to COVID-19. Of note:
1. Hearings for the next three days are cancelled;
2. There will be an attempt to conduct hearings going forward by telephone, but the Commission will be tracking which cases need the most attention. Telephonic hearings will begin this Thursday (3/18/2020);
3. We are being asked to address issues amongst parties before requesting a hearing;
4. The 3-day notice requirement for hearing cancellations is waived;
5. Job searches for workers’ receiving temporary partial disability benefits are waived effective 3/16/2020 until further notice; and,
6. Formal hearings will not be conducted by telephone, but will only proceed for emergency issues.
