Richard Tynan has successfully represented clients in thousands of litigated matters over the course of his extensive career. The subjects have ranged from premises, auto, and trucking liability to fire loss, products, and professional liability. In recent years, Rich’s practice has focused on the defense of wrongful death and catastrophic injury claims often while representing healthcare professionals. He also regularly counsels and represents healthcare professionals in connection with disciplinary, licensure, and medical staff matters.
Recognized by his peers for his extensive courtroom experience, Rich is frequently asked to serve as an arbitrator or neutral mediator. His informed perspective often helps litigants explore and achieve unique approaches to resolving their disputes.
Rich has achieved the distinction of being named a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an honor reserved for less than one percent of the nation’s trial attorneys. He is also a charter member of the Connecticut chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.
