Lindsay Dowty is a litigator whose practice focuses in the areas of Insurance Defense and Health Care. Lindsay handles matters for insurance carriers and their insureds related to motor vehicles, uninsured and underinsured motorists, automobile-related personal injury claims, property loss, and premises liability. She also is involved in matters for healthcare providers related to professional licensure, compliance, reimbursement, and administrative law. Lindsay is committed to developing effective legal strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
Lindsay earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law, also obtaining JD Certificates in Health Law and Insurance Law and Regulation. She was a Dean’s Scholarship Recipient, and also received two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, both for the highest grade in her Criminal Law and Healthcare Liability Insurance classes. Lindsay was an editor for the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and served as a Lead Articles Editor in her final year. On campus, she served as a Mentor in the Women’s Law Student Association, Secretary & Outreach Chair for the Health Law Society, and as a Student Intern for the Transactional Law Clinic. In 2024, Lindsay excelled in Halloran Sage’s Summer Associate Program and joined the firm full time upon receiving her Juris Doctor. Prior to law school, Lindsay graduated summa cum laude from Trinity College with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Anthropology and a minor in Legal Studies. She was named the President’s Fellow in Anthropology and received Faculty Honors each semester, as well as The Micki and Hy C. Dworin Award in 2021. Lindsay is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association.
