Dan LaBelle welcomes the challenge of practicing law and enjoys the rewards that flow from good client relationships. Much of the work Dan does comes through referrals from other lawyers who respect his skill and know of his experience. Because he works primarily as a defense attorney, clients usually come to Dan because they have been sued or have become the target of a criminal investigation. In these difficult circumstances, it is particularly important to establish a strong client relationship and maintain it throughout the engagement. Dan believes the client relationship is the foundation for achieving the best possible outcome.
Dan began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan and is admitted to practice in both New York and Connecticut. Dan has tried numerous civil and criminal cases to verdict in both state and federal courts. His experience includes general commercial litigation, the defense of professional liability, products liability, and general liability claims, and the defense of individuals and corporations in criminal cases. Dan’s criminal experience includes representation of individuals and organizations in grand jury investigations and white collar cases relating to accounting fraud, bank fraud, tax fraud, and antitrust, as well as the defense of indigent defendants in the federal court.
