Marla Katz practices corporate business and transactions, concentrating on business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters for a variety of clients in industries that span the regional economy. Marla also routinely handles secured and unsecured debt financing and commercial real estate transactions. She has also presented seminars to content creators, influencers, and artists on some of these business topics, along with the legal issues related to content creation, endorsements, branding, licensing, and more.
Marla is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Intellectual Property. During law school, she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Connecticut Law Review, a Teaching Assistant for Legal Practice: Research and Writing, and a Research Assistant for Connecticut Legal Research, a publication by Carolina Academic Press. She gained practical experience with clients as a Student Associate in the Transactional Law Clinic and the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Law Clinic. Before joining the firm as an Associate, Marla was a law clerk for the firm in the corporate business and transactions group.
