Attorneys Brian Rich and Michael Wrona recently hosted a complimentary webinar, A Primer to Connecticut Banking Foreclosure and Bankruptcy Litigation and the Effects of COVID-19, sponsored by the Connecticut Bankers Association.

The seminar, attended by about sixty-five bankers, examined some of the practical aspects of litigating foreclosure and bankruptcy cases in Connecticut from the perspective of commercial and residential lenders, including in the wake of the global pandemic. The presenters introduced lenders to some of the common issues that arise in litigation and address ways to avoid or mitigate their effects.

Topics covered will include:

Brian Rich regularly represents some of the world’s largest banks and financial institutions, as well as local and regional clients. A veteran of the trial and appellate courts, he handles a variety of business and commercial disputes, including contract claims, real estate litigation, contested commercial and residential foreclosure actions, mortgage resolution, fraud and lender liability claims, as well as claims for unfair business practices.

Michael Wrona practices in the areas of landlord-tenant, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation. Mike’s experience and common sense approach allow him to resolve disputes for his clients, which include housing authorities, private landlords, lenders, creditors, and insurance companies. While his first instinct is to always look for a straightforward practical solution, he stands ready to recommend an effective litigation strategy when needed.
