A team of attorneys from the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group, at Halloran & Sage and from its ALF Global Legal Network affiliate, TressCox led by Henry Beck, Jr. recently assisted a sporting and athletic goods manufacturer in acquiring a Sydney, Australia based distributor, formerly known as Expression Sports Australia (ESA). The deal strategically positioned Burton to expand its snow, surf and skate brands in this important market.
The acquisition was particularly interesting and exciting because of the international and multijurisdictional aspects of M&A, tax, accounting, and intellectual property laws, practices and procedures. It was the third internationally flavored M&S transaction involving Henry’s team in the last twelve months.
